Why:
Irene the founder saw the gap of women who urgently required training skills in sewing for them to become financially independent. She quit her job to attend to start an in-house sewing training for the women most of whom were women recovering from domestic violence.
Who:
every year 10 beneficiaries benefit from the program. So far over 60 beneficiaries have graduated from the program. Some are working for Oasis sewing project and others have gone to start their own jobs.
Where:
Rainy sewing program has been replicated at kabiro village in kawangware, Nairobi Kenya.
